Shelter Bridge Aid was founded in 1972 as a homeless shelter. Shelter Bridge Aid provides high-quality, stable and sustainable housing and supportive services to people in need. We do this in ways that help people prosper and we help communities become safe, vibrant, prosperous, attractive and just and develop equitably.
Shelter Bridge Aid develops and manages real estate and provides rental housing. In partnership with thousands of private landlords, We help families pay the rent in the private rental market. We deliver supportive services to help families succeed as “tenants, parents, students, wage earners and builders of assets who can live without assistance.”

Shelter Bridge Aid owns and manages a varied portfolio of properties. We are a multifamily properties, single-family homes, and properties we use for business purposes.
Shelter Bridge Aid residential properties include over 1,300 dwelling units. They vary in their design, size, financing and levels of affordability. These properties are in nearly every neighborhood. They include seven apartment buildings reserved for seniors and persons with disabilities, six developments for families, and all our touchdown communities.
